How much should you spend to learn Spanish? Much does a full-length Spanish tutorial cost? Do I have the time to spend for the whole stretch the learning program will take? Do I get a pro-rated refund if and when I can’t finish the course? These crucial questions and most probably a few more need to be answered accurately. In times of economic distress, we just can’t easily allocate funds for your quest to learn Spanish . We need to be very cautious and prudent in spending our hard earned money, maybe even becoming a little of Mr. Scrooge, of course not to the point of becoming a miser.

Well, I have very good news for the people wanting to learn Spanish! The internet provides fast and free options to learn the language. You just have to be resourceful and patient in finding them.

A case in point is Rocket Spanish, it has a FREE 6-day course that includes audio, grammar and culture lessons. Who can beat that? Another one you can try is Visual Link Spanish which dishes out three FREE on-line lessons. These trial courses will give you a map as to what particular course you should take. Quite frankly, these free offers are there for you to try out their wares, and later, convince you to sign up for the paid segments of the lessons. Signing up will always be at your option, they can never force you to enroll.

You can search the Web for other suitable sites. You can even find Spanish translators, who will come in handy especially if you have specific phrases or sentences you want translated for your future trip to Spain or Mexico. Your local library is also a good source for an apt Spanish tutorial book. However, you will still need an audio guide to learn the proper pronunciation of Spanish words which a book can’t give you, no matter how good it is.

Craiglist or eBay are good possible sources to find out if somebody out there is selling his old Spanish programs, or audio cassettes or CD’s which suit your purpose. The only concern is if you still have the machines available for them to be played back.

If you have a tight budget, I still recommend that you think about buying a Spanish program. There are many available that are reliable but affordable. But then again, if you don’t have the money available, you can always use Rocket Spanish for free and unsubscribe the moment you’re through.

I do hope you’ll enjoy learning Spanish and put it to good use in the days to come.
